In the summer of 2018, I was able to achieve one of my dreams: working for a national park. This summer I traveled farther west than ever before and got to experience the breathtaking (as you can obviously notice) Glacier National Park! At Glacier, I took on the role of an interpretive intern on the east side of the park at St. Mary. I gave campground talks and guided hikes to diverse crowds during the week, and by the weekend I was able to hike to my heart's content. Below are only small snippets from this incredible experience. Overall, this experience taught me so much about myself, my dreams, and what I think is important in life: happiness and curiosity. It was here that I learned I want to be a teacher and a ranger. I absolutely love biology and explaining the oddities and relationships you can find in this marvelous world, but I love inspiring others to find their passions and inspiring their curiosity more. Why not have the best of both worlds?--My dream and goal (which I am striving towards now) is to be an elementary education teacher in the school year and a national park ranger during my summers.
